Just as COVID-19 has disproportionately affected Black, Indigenous, and other people of color (BIPOC), the pandemic has inequitably impacted BIPOC survivors of sexual and domestic violence. Tribal Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault programs are chronically underfunded, leaving Native women and girls more vulnerable to violence. This report highlights once more the urgent need to think differently about homicide prevention work and what safety looks like for our communities.
